The Belfry of Saint-Riquier's historic belfry of the Picardy town of Saint-Riquier.

It is one of the 56 belfries in Belgium and France declared World Heritage by UNESCO are.
As a symbol of communal autonomy the first belfry was too close to the Abbey of Saint-Riquier. The mighty abbot demanded that a new tower would be built further away from the abbey tower. That happened in 1283. When the city in the 15th century, sided with the Burgundian dukes, King Louis XI of France in 1475, breaking the tower turn. In 1528 he was re-built.
