Puente Castro is a neighborhood of Leon. It is located on the outskirts of the city, on the road to Madrid. It's located on the other side of the river that separates the neighborhood from the rest of the city. The Camino de Santiago passes through the town. This neighborhood has a church dating from the fourteenth century, of great beauty and cultural importance.

History
Known as Castrum Iudeorum (Castro of the Jews) , the Jewish Quarter or aljama Puente Castro was the oldest and most important city of León in the Middle Ages , being destroyed by the Castilians and Aragonese in 1196 , causing the Jews leave Bridge Castro to settle in the neighborhood of Santa Ana . Already existed for years, a monolith dedicated to the Jews.
